Hosting reviews + tutorials forums

Like where you can leave reviews of web hosts so we know who to trust and not. Since a lot of us are resellers I think we'd get far with reseller reviews and become rather trusted in this area, with more noticing of other websites and users Smile

Also, as for tutorials, this could be guides and things not just to do with hosting management but in general with website stuff, like things you can do with htaccess.

Particularly I want to make this board a place for both newbie and experienced webmasters alike and give it that balance to get us more recognised.

Further suggestion maybe we could, if not tutorials but write articles about hosting in general like a blog section on a forum. I've seen it done on a tech community (cstutor101) that closed down about a year ago now, it worked well until the site was suspended because I started a thread on DDoSing and one of their users made guides for DDoSing and SQL injection (the owner was away for 2 weeks or so because of an illness I think, I also wasn't mod of the section at the time).

Any thoughts? Smile

I love the idea for hosting reviews and tutorial forums! It can help boost activity on this somewhat dormant forum.

Yeah. As I say, I want to also give this board a good rep especially in the reseller hosting area, I've trusted this place for almost everything people have said the last two years Smile
I've referred 9 people using my link, but I'm going to try to get more people here.

(also when you are barely experienced in webmastering compared to others, one of the youngest users, yet have the most rep and posts that kinda says something lel)

As soon as I finish registering my business as an LLC I'm gonna post it here for people to look at.

I hope Eric or Hans make that new forum soon though: I would really love to give reviews of various hosting companies found on the Internet, from the good to the bad (like...Total Internet Solutions/GISOL bad).

I have quite simple rules regarding new forum categories: if there are enough topics which should belong to one we can create a category for it. So if the forum gets a decent amount of review topics or tutorials, we can create the category. I don't see the point in creating categories if we don't have content to fill it.
